Copyright & DMCA Policy
Last updated the current version
London Screenwriters' Festival respects intellectual-property rights and expects users of LSFConnect to do the same. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your rights, and how we respond. It took effect on the date shown at the top of this page.
1. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@lsfconnect.com that includes: your contact details; identification of the work you say is infringed; the location (URL) of the material on the Service; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature.
2. Our response
On receiving a valid notice we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material and will make reasonable efforts to notify the person who posted it. This process reflects the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the equivalent notice-and-takedown expectations under UK and EU law.
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to hello@lsfconnect.com with your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts. We may restore the material if the original complainant does not pursue the matter within the time the law allows.
4. Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
