Refunds & Cancellations
Last updated the current version
This Refunds & Cancellations policy explains your rights when you buy a paid course or other digital product on LSFConnect. London Screenwriters' Festival is the seller and merchant of record for these purchases. It took effect on the date shown at the top of this page and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. What you are buying
Paid courses are digital content delivered online. Unless stated otherwise, a purchase gives you lifetime access to that course through the Service, for your personal use, with no recurring charge.
2. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment processors (for example Stripe and PayPal). Access is granted once payment is confirmed. Prices and any applicable taxes are shown before you pay.
3. Statutory cooling-off period
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content and receive a refund. However, this right is lost once delivery of the digital content has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right to cancel. Because course access is made available immediately, at checkout we ask for that consent; if you give it and then start accessing the course, the statutory cooling-off right no longer applies.
Nothing in this policy removes mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live, including rights in respect of digital content that is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.
4. Our refund practice
Beyond your statutory rights, if a course is not as described, does not work, or you have a genuine problem, contact us within a reasonable time and we will try to put it right — including, where appropriate, a repair, replacement, or refund. We consider goodwill refunds case by case.
5. How to request a refund
Email hello@lsfconnect.com from the address on your account, telling us what you bought and why you are asking for a refund. Approved refunds are made to your original payment method. Where we grant a refund for a course, we may withdraw access to it.
6. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can help — it is usually quicker than a bank chargeback. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to your access being suspended while we investigate.
